Washington Youth Soccer offers programs that include the Elite Player Development (EPD) program, Soccer for Success, field development, TOPSoccer, and coaching. The EPD program combines current development curriculums and additional opportunities from the soccer community and focuses on developing players with technical and tactical skills and creativity to compete at the highest levels. Nearly 200 member clubs are part of Washington Youth Soccer, and most of these clubs operate within one of many associations.
Washington Youth Soccer is a community based 501(c)3 nonprofit. Its mission is to foster the physical, mental and emotional growth and development of the State of Washington’s youth through the sport of soccer at all levels of age and competition. Washington Youth Soccer’s origin dates back to 1961, and the Washington State Youth Soccer Association became Washington Youth Soccer in 2008. The organization is affiliated with US Youth Soccer, US Soccer, and FIFA through the Regional Club League, and 93,000 kids and teens are a part of Washington Youth Soccer. Washington Youth Soccer has partnerships with Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, Darigold, and Creo Visions. Washington State Youth Soccer Association is awarded the TOPSoccer grant, and Washington Youth Soccer wins a grant for Soccer for Success in South Seattle schools.
