• Ages: 6–16 years old
Camp Solomon Schechter has a 70+ year tradition of fun, friendship, and Jewish education in the PNW. Its mission states that it blends Jewish tradition and culture as the foundation of the camp experience, integrates nature and activity to create fun, and embraces the child in every person to foster joy, facilitate friendship, and create lifelong memories. The camp adheres to the values of integrity, derech eretz (respect), and tikkun olam (repairing the world) to build a place where Judaism and joy are one. It is an open place for children to explore Jewish texts, spirituality, rituals, and history so that they may form their own unique Jewish identities.
