First Tee – Central Washington offers golf activities for youth using both traditional golf courses and practice areas. The program integrates the game of golf with a life skills curriculum and provides all necessary equipment for participants.
• Ages: 5–18 years old
• Price: Full scholarships are also available for any child in need.
First Tee – Central Washington began in June 2008 as First Tee of Yakima, operating at two golf courses in Yakima. During the summer of 2019, the program expanded to include Douglas and Chelan Counties, and the name changed to First Tee – Central Washington. The program offers multiple events in both Wenatchee and Yakima Valley and operates at several parks and community locations. Its mission is to enable kids to build strength of character by integrating golf with a life skills curriculum, creating learning experiences that build inner strength, self-confidence, and resilience that kids carry to everything they do, and to impact the lives of young people through golf.
