Lake Wapogasset Lutheran Bible Camp (Camp Wapo, Ox Lake, Wilderness Canoe Base) includes campfires, conversations, laughter, new experiences, large-group field games, field games, low ropes, and early morning activities like vespers. Campers take part in late night storytelling, daily Bible Study, worship, prayer, service, caring conversations, and hospitality. The program also offers week-long canoe trips, team and faith building activities using a variety of low ropes course elements at the Ox Lake Challenge Ropes Course, and access to miles of horseback trails.

Lake Wapogasset Lutheran Bible Camp, Inc. has roots dating back to 1948. Its mission statement is: “We inspire faith through the wonder of creation and community.” The organization focuses on outdoor ministry and opportunities to untangle from technology and encourage play, and it values welcoming and engaging people of color, the LGBTQIA+ community, women, minorities and those of differing abilities and socio-economic status. Lake Wapogasset Lutheran Bible Camp, Inc. is affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). Wilderness Canoe Base operates within the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness in the Superior National Forest and, as a BWCAW Cooperator, is an equal opportunity service provider. The organization offers faith exploration, community formation, unique camp experiences and leadership development for the Twin Cities metro area and Northwest Wisconsin.
