Door Creek Junior Golf Program

Door Creek Junior Golf Program includes junior golf lessons, games and competitions both on and off the course, and golf swing activities. Participants can take part in Lost Creek Explorer Classes that focus on activities to improve balance, agility, and hand-eye coordination, as well as learning the basics of the swing, putting, and chipping. The program also offers Lost Creek Pioneer Camps with instruction, contests, and 9 holes of golf on the Lost Creek executive course.

• Ages: 4–15 years old
• Schedule: Lost Creek Explorer Classes run as a 5-week program with 40-minute classes, and Lost Creek Pioneer Camps run as 3-day camps from 9:00am to 1:00pm daily.
• Price: Executive Course special rates are available Monday–Friday open to noon, where players save $3 and pay $11.

In Lost Creek Explorer Classes, families can choose Friday or Sunday 40-minute sessions over five weeks, with Friday options on June 19, June 26, July 10, July 17, and July 24 at 9:00, 10:00, or 11:00am, and Sunday options on June 14, June 21, June 28, July 12, and July 19 at 11:00am, with 9:00 and 10:00am listed as sold out. Lost Creek Pioneer Camps run from 9:00am to 1:00pm daily, with Camp 1 held June 22–24 and Camp 2 held July 20–22, and include instruction, a daily contest, lunch, and 9 holes of golf on the Lost Creek executive course.

Junior golfers in this program learn golf fundamentals, including stance, grip, posture, full swing, rules, and etiquette, from PGA Professionals. The executive course, called Lost Creek, is a 9-hole, par-30 course that is shorter than the championship course and is described as a great place for beginners to learn. All kids 15 and under with a paid adult can golf for free any day, anytime on the executive course, and a Junior Pass is available for juniors 17 and under to play golf throughout the season. Door Creek Golf Course states that all junior golf options offer weekly instruction, and that the intermediate program provides both instruction and playing options. The course has been voted Best of Madison and Best of Cottage Grove for multiple years and is described as an award-winning public golf course.
