YMCA of Greater Waukesha County Summer Day Camps include options such as Waukesha Junior Camp at the Y, West Suburban Specialty Camps, Waukesha Y at CMH Sullivan Campus Specialty Camps, Tri County Specialty Camps, West Suburban Day Camp, Waukesha Y at CMH Sullivan Campus Day Camp, and Southwest YMCA Day Camp. Summer Day Camp at the Y is described as more than looking after kids and includes a focus on learning fundamental skills, building self-reliance, and finding a greater sense of purpose, while also being described as so much fun. YMCA Specialty Camp offerings are available in addition to the general Summer Day Camp options.

• Ages: 4–13 years old
• Schedule: Summer Day Camps run in date ranges such as June 15 – August 21, June 15 – August 14, and July 6 – August 14.

Summer Day Camp offerings are available for ages 4–6, 5–13, and 7–13, and YMCA Specialty Camp offerings are available for ages 7–13. Registration for Summer Day Camps begins February 2, 2026 at 8:00 AM. Swim lessons at the Y use a stated curriculum and environment to build strong, confident swimmers of all ages, and youth sports leagues offer equal play time for every player and promote sportsmanship and teamwork. Youth sports programs list goals of building self confidence, socializing, sharing, and teamwork, and Cheer & Dance programs focus on muscle coordination, poise, grace, and self-confidence. Gymnastics programs range from teaching kids to tumble, run, jump, and twist to building motor and socialization skills, and Parents Night Out (Y Nights) are offered for kids to join in on Y activities while parents get a break. Schools Out Fun Day offers full-day childcare at all five branch locations when schools are closed.

The YMCA of Greater Waukesha County states its mission as putting Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all. The YMCA of Greater Waukesha County is described as more than a gym and as a cause focused on strengthening community. The YMCA of Greater Waukesha County is a non-profit, tax-exempt charitable organization under section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code. Community involvement connected to the Y includes sponsorship of 2026 Summer Day Camps by Wisconsin Vision, collaboration with the Mukwonago Area School District and the School District of Waukesha to provide 4K to children, and proceeds from the Tri County YMCA Sport Shoot benefiting the Tri County YMCA’s Annual Support Campaign.

Some programs at the Y are taught by certified instructors, including Lifeguard & Safety Certifications, Babysitting Classes, and Home Alone & Stranger Danger Classes. The Y also offers programs such as the Blood Pressure Self-Monitoring Program, the Diabetes Prevention Program, and the Moving For Better Balance 12-week Tai Chi course, along with group exercise classes that require advanced registration and have limited space.
