Theatre for Kids is a children’s program of the Chippewa Valley Theatre Guild. The program is part of the Guild’s children’s programming, which offers educational, hands-on experiences in all aspects of theatre for youth.
Theatre for Kids follows the mission of the Chippewa Valley Theatre Guild’s children’s programming, which is to develop, encourage, and promote quality theatre experiences that delight and challenge participants and audiences. The specific mission of Theatre for Kids is to nurture an appreciation for theatre in children, to celebrate theatrical achievements of participants, and to provide affordable, accessible, and educational hands-on experiences to youth in all aspects of theatre. The Chippewa Valley Theatre Guild, which runs Theatre for Kids, has served the community for 44 years and provides hands-on learning experiences in all aspects of theatre for children and adults.
The organization is led by a Board of Directors that includes Emily Kassera (President), Cindy Fahser (Vice President), Greg Banchy (Treasurer), Ron Bower, Sadie Patko, Reid Sollberger, and David Hirsch (Past President). Staff members include Ann Sessions (Executive Director), Tim Menebroeker (Tech Director), and Angie Alexander (Volunteer Coordinator, Volunteer). Board members bring experience in education, law, marketing, customer service, playwriting, and medicine.
The Chippewa Valley Theatre Guild involves community members as volunteers in roles such as performers, musicians, directors, costumers, carpenters, painters, designers, lighting technicians, sound technicians, and backstage crews.
