Mother's Day Out Preschool

Mother's Day Out Preschool is an outreach program of Community United Methodist Church. The program is built around the philosophy that children learn through play and that they are born ready to learn. In order to promote strong bonds and consistency, children stay in the same classroom throughout the duration of the school year.

Mother's Day Out Preschool was established in 1967. The program is overseen by The Advisory Board, which is made up of church members, the MDO Director, MDO staff, and MDO parents. As caregivers and educators, the stated mission is to provide a safe and developmentally appropriate learning environment that supports a child’s natural desire to explore, discover, create, and become a lifelong learner. Mother’s Day Out is a non-profit program licensed by the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families. The program consistently strives to create learning opportunities that provide physical, cognitive, social, and spiritual growth with meaningful Christian experiences in a safe, stimulating, and encouraging environment. The preschool experience is described as promoting each child’s individual social, emotional, spiritual, physical, and cognitive development.
