Albert & Ann Deshur JCC Rainbow Day Camp is described as an inclusive summer day camp for children and teens, guided by Jewish values, that focuses on personal development, friendship, and community. The camp welcomes campers of all faiths, ethnicities, and abilities and includes integrated Shiluv programs that allow campers of differing abilities to be mainstreamed with individualized support from professionally trained staff. The program is led by experienced and nurturing staff, including Executive Director Lenny Kass, Director Shelby Elias, and Assistant Director Evan MClean.

The camp includes a Village area for middle and high school age campers with its own GaGa Pit, Ping Pong tables, and gathering spaces, as well as a CIT program open to 15–16 year olds that offers leadership and job training which includes compensation. After Camp Care is available for RDC campers entering K5–5th grade, with a structured schedule of activities and games, and a Kids Center After Camp Care option is available if return bus times do not fit family schedules. The camp follows a two-week session format that is described as providing a beginning, middle, and end to the camp experience.

Albert & Ann Deshur JCC Rainbow Day Camp is guided by Jewish values such as Kehillah (community), Kavod (respect), Tikkun Olam (caring for the world), Tzedakah (justice), and Shabbat (sabbath). Each Friday afternoon, campers gather for an assembly with songs, juice, and challah bread to mark the end of the week. The Road to Rainbow program partners with local agencies to build opportunities for campers from underserved neighborhoods, and The Upstream Arts provides programming for youth and adults with mild to severe cognitive, developmental, and physical disabilities.

The JCC connected with the camp is a partner in serving the community with the Milwaukee Jewish Federation and is a beneficiary agency of the United Way of Greater Milwaukee and Waukesha County. It stewards community scholarship funds and makes these funds available to those who may need scholarship assistance. The Jewish Community Pantry feeds the hungry, adults with disabilities employed by the JCC harvest produce, and free rides are provided each month so adults with disabilities can access JCC programs.
