About

NEW Zoo & Adventure Park Camps take place within the NEW Zoo & Adventure Park and surrounding recreational areas, where campers can experience features such as the Neil Anderson Canopy Tour and the Adventure Park. The Adventure Park includes ziplines, a ropes course, a climbing wall, and a Kids Kourse that are part of the broader park setting used by the camps. Campers are based in a 1560-acre recreational area that includes the NEW Zoo & Adventure Park and the Brown County Reforestation Camp, which serves over half a million visitors every year.

The NEW in NEW Zoo & Adventure Park stands for Northeastern Wisconsin. The NEW Zoo & Adventure Park operates with economic and environmental sustainability as priorities, and every dollar made is directly reinvested into the zoo. It is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA), and in 2021 it received the AZA’s Quarter Century Award for 25 years of continuous accreditation. The NEW Zoo & Adventure Park is owned and operated by Wisconsin’s Brown County and is overseen by the County’s Education & Recreation Committee along with the Brown County Golf Course, Brown County Libraries, Neville Public Museum, and the Brown County Parks Department. The organization’s mission is to connect the community with wildlife and nature through engaging, interactive experiences.
