Greenfield Youth Football & Cheerleading is a co-ed youth program that introduces football and cheerleading to children in the community. The program includes 4 cheer teams and 9 flag and tackle football teams, with a total of 174 GYFCP athletes. All coaches need to pass a background check through TrustedCoaches, and training courses are available to all football coaches through the program's partnership with Greenfield High School. Volunteer, youth-oriented coaches have regular meetings with the varsity coaches at Greenfield High School to make sure they are teaching the same concepts athletes will learn at the high school level. A Program Vetting Committee interviews and selects all potential coaches. The leadership team includes Program President Leah Macans; 5th Grade Tackle Head Coach (2026) Coach Rich Vasquez; 6th Grade Tackle Head Coach (2026) Coach Mike Swiderski; 7th Grade Tackle Head Coach (2026) Coach Mark Van Gorder; and 8th Grade Tackle Head Coach (2026) Coach Mike Gomez. The program has a strong partnership with Greenfield High School. GYFCP will not address any third party or anonymous phone calls or emails.
