LW Youth Summer Camps are fun, active camps for students entering 1st–8th grade. The camps take place within a Christ-centered school community that is connected through the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS). Every subject and activity at the host school reflects a biblical worldview.
• Ages: 6–13 years old
At Living Word, the stated mission is “Opening God’s Word. Opening kids’ worlds.” The school that hosts LW Youth Summer Camps is fully accredited through NLSA and is described as a Christian high school that blends faith, academics, and community, and as a college-and-career-prep private school. It has an enrollment of over 300 students, with an average class size of 23 students, and students represent more than 60 different churches and 30 feeder schools. Living Word Lutheran High School serves families across the Greater Milwaukee Area, including Ozaukee, Washington, Milwaukee, Dodge, and Waukesha counties, and joyfully welcomes families from all Christian faith backgrounds.
Academic offerings at the high school include honors, AP, and dual-credit college courses, along with a 3-week Winterim term in January for additional elective courses. The school reports offering rigorous academics, innovative teaching, and college-credit opportunities, and emphasizes holistic growth through academics, athletics, arts, and service. Student life at the school includes 19 sports teams, 6 music groups, 2 theater productions, and additional opportunities in art, drama, music, clubs, and leadership.
