Rock County 4-H involves youth in grades 5K–13 in project-based education. The program uses project-based education so youth can explore their interests, called “sparks,” and work on mastering new skills.
• Ages: 5–18 years old
• Schedule: The new 4-H year starts October 1, 2024 and ends September 30, 2025, with a re-enrollment deadline of November 1, 2024 and a recommended enrollment date of December 1, 2024 for new participants
Extension’s mission is to connect people with the University of Wisconsin and to teach, learn, lead and serve, transforming lives and communities. Extension’s work reaches across Wisconsin and includes six program areas: Agriculture, Community Development, Human Development & Relationships, Health & Well-Being, Natural Resources, and Positive Youth Development. Through a partnership with the Brewer Library in Richland Center and UW–Madison Extension’s 4-H program, AmeriCorps members Izeah Currier and Autumn Carter offered a six-week series.
