About

Junior Naturalist Summer Camp takes place at the Lussier Family Heritage Center’s Prairie Learning Center, which includes two pollinator gardens, a sensory garden, a natural play area, prairie seed beds, a monarch waystation, and a self-guided interpretive trail. Campers spend time in nearby native prairie, freshwater marsh, and oak savanna habitats on the rolling hills of glacial drumlins.

The Junior Naturalist Summer Camp is part of the Lussier Family Heritage Center’s mission to provide outdoor and environmental education experiences for persons of all ages and ability levels. The leadership team for this work includes Angela Rivera, Education Coordinator; Mara Rosenberg, Inclusion Specialist; Rachael Gosda, Education Specialist; Susan Sandford, Strategic Engagement Coordinator; and Grace Coleman, Youth Conservation Coordinator.
