About

Summer at Mathnasium offers summer math programs that include math tutoring, homework help, and preparation for the math portions of the ACT and SAT. The program uses face-to-face instruction with a proprietary curriculum and offers summer learning both in person at Mathnasium Learning Centers and online through Mathnasium@Home, a proprietary real-time digital platform. Summer students complete an initial complimentary Math Skills Assessment and an end-of-summer Math Skills POST Assessment, and work from individualized summer learning plans targeting specific skills and concepts in basic math, pre-Algebra, Algebra I/II, Geometry, Trigonometry, pre-Calculus, and Calculus.

• Ages: 6–17 years old
• Schedule: Summer Calendar Jun 10—Aug 30; students can attend throughout the entire summer or just part of the summer, with flexible, variable weekly sessions scheduled through an online scheduling app

Most of Mathnasium's summer tutors are students currently enrolled in UW Madison's math, engineering, and education fields of study. The stated mission is to teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Summer at Mathnasium emphasizes that learning math and solving problems is stimulating, rewarding, and fun, and that anyone can succeed in math with the right materials, instruction, and support. The Mathnasium Method builds the foundation for math mastery through deep understanding, and Mathnasium meets children where they are and works with a customized program for any level of mathematics. Summer at Mathnasium notes that, on average, students lose 2.6 months of what they've learned in math class over summer break, and that Summer at Mathnasium keeps math skills strong.
