About
Eco-Explorers Summer Day Camps offers nature-related activities, crafts, games, and stories. The camps include sessions such as Sense of Nature, The World Beneath Your Feet, Survivor Challenge, Wildlife Rescue, and Heckrodt Conservation Camp. The camps are designed for children ages 3 through grade 8 to learn about their natural environment through hands-on interactive activities.
• Ages: 3 years old through grade 8
• Schedule: Multiple 2–3 day and multi-day sessions offered June through August, with morning and afternoon options
• Price: Sense of Nature sessions $70; The World Beneath Your Feet sessions $80; Survivor Challenge $95; Wildlife Rescue sessions $95
Small group sizes allow children to experience nature with personal direction from naturalists. Programs are developed by trained naturalists and focus on the local environment. The activities are intensely hands-on and are designed to foster an ethic of environmental appreciation and stewardship. Eco-Explorers Summer Day Camp Program Sponsor is Jason & Jody Fowler, and Heckrodt Wetland Reserve is a private non-profit organization that depends on donations from individuals, corporations, and foundations for its operations.
