About

YMCA of Greater Waukesha County Youth Programs & Camps offers activities that include swim lessons, swim leagues, aquatic exercise programs, and lifeguard and safety certifications taught by certified instructors. The program also offers sports leagues and sports programs, cheer and dance, gymnastics, seasonal family events, Parents Night Out, and Schools Out Fun Day. Additional offerings include Summer Day Camps and Specialty Camps, preschool, 4K and extended care at the Y, before and after school care, babysitting classes, and Home Alone & Stranger Danger classes taught by certified instructors.

Personal training in this program is provided by nationally certified personal trainers, and wellness presentations are delivered by Healthy Living Instructors. The Blood Pressure Self-Monitoring Program is supported by trained ambassadors, and the Diabetes Prevention Program is led by a lifestyle coach. Youth sports leagues in this program offer equal play time for every player and promote sportsmanship and teamwork, and sports programs vary throughout the year for ages 2–12 with goals of building self confidence, socializing, sharing, and teamwork. Cheer and dance offerings span ages 1–13+, and gymnastics programs serve ages 0–12. Summer Day Camps and Specialty Camps offer a nurturing environment where kids learn essential skills, gain self-reliance, and discover a sense of purpose, and before and after school engagement programs focus on safety, health, social growth, and academic enhancement. Schools Out Fun Day offers full-day childcare at all five branch locations when schools are closed.

The mission of YMCA of Greater Waukesha County Youth Programs & Camps is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all. The YMCA of Greater Waukesha County is a non-profit, tax-exempt charitable organization. It collaborates with the Mukwonago Area School District and the School District of Waukesha to provide 4K to children. When someone gives to the YMCA’s Annual Support Campaign, 100% of the gift goes toward making an impact in the community.
