YMCA of Greater Waukesha County Youth & Family Programs offers activities such as group exercise classes, cycling classes, FOREVERWELL Classes, personal training, aquatic exercise programs, swim lessons and swim leagues, sports leagues and sports programs, Cheer & Dance, and gymnastics. • Schedule: Moving For Better Balance offers a 12-week Tai Chi course.
Personal Training is provided by nationally certified personal trainers. Babysitting Classes, Home Alone & Stranger Danger Classes, and Lifeguard & Safety Certifications are taught by certified instructors. Blood Pressure Self-Monitoring Program support is provided by trained ambassadors, and Wellness Presentations are delivered by Healthy Living Instructors.
Group exercise classes require advanced registration and have limited space. Sports leagues offer equal play time for every player and promote sportsmanship and teamwork. Sports programs vary throughout the year for ages 2–12 and include goals of building self confidence, socializing, sharing, and teamwork. Cheer & Dance offerings are for ages 1–13+, and gymnastics programs have age ranges from 0–12 and include teaching kids to tumble, run, jump, and twist while building motor and socialization skills. Seasonal Family Events include holiday events and creative workshops in a festive and welcoming atmosphere. Parents Night Out (Y Nights) are set up for kids to take part in YMCA activities while parents get a break. Schools Out Fun Day offers full-day childcare at all five branch locations when schools are closed and provides a safe place for children on school off-days. Sports leagues and programs, swim leagues, and other youth offerings emphasize character development using the YMCA’s core values.
The YMCA of Greater Waukesha County states its mission as putting Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all. The YMCA of Greater Waukesha County collaborates with the Mukwonago Area School District and the School District of Waukesha to provide 4K to children. Proceeds from the Tri County YMCA Sport Shoot benefit the Tri County YMCA’s Annual Support Campaign.
YMCA Corporate Membership includes the YMCA matching 50% of the employer subsidy up to $10 per month, a complimentary one-week trial membership for employees, one annual complimentary Wellness Presentation delivered in-person, virtually, or via pre-recorded presentations, and can include monthly tracking of employee usage and on-site membership sign-up opportunities upon request.
