About
PEARLS For Teen Girls offers weekly groups that support youth identifying as girls in 5th–12th grade through school-year meetings at schools and community sites. The program uses a research-based curriculum with Social Emotional Learning embedded throughout. PEARLS groups are facilitated by multigenerational teams and take place in a girl-only space for participants in 5th–12th grade.

PEARLS For Teen Girls focuses on developing core skills for personal and professional growth, college and career preparation, and activities that build confidence, healthy relationships, and dreams. The mission of PEARLS is to improve quality of life and strengthen the community one girl at a time by empowering young women and gender-expansive youth with self-development tools, guidance, and support to strive for better, brighter futures by living out the PEARLS values: Personal Responsibility, Empathy, Awareness, Respect, Leadership and Support. PEARLS For Teen Girls has served more than 13,000 girls over 33 years. PEARLS For Teen Girls is a United Way sponsored agency. A parent testimonial states, “Since joining, her grades have improved. I’ve noticed that now when she smiles, her smile comes through from the inside out! She’s found her self-confidence.”
