About
PEARLS For Teen Girls offers weekly peer support groups that use Social Emotional Learning within a research-based curriculum. The program includes a College and Career Readiness component that shares concrete strategies for setting and achieving goals and connects participants to educational, pre-career, health, and other resources. Groups are girl-only spaces with multigenerational facilitation teams and focus on developing core skills for personal and professional growth, as well as activities that build confidence, healthy relationships, and future dreams.

PEARLS For Teen Girls supports youth identifying as girls in 5th–12th grade through weekly groups at schools and community sites throughout the school year. The organization states that it is improving quality of life and strengthening the community one girl at a time by empowering young women and gender-expansive youth with self-development tools, guidance, and support while emphasizing the PEARLS values: Personal Responsibility, Empathy, Awareness, Respect, Leadership, and Support. PEARLS For Teen Girls has served more than 13,000 girls over 33 years and is a United Way sponsored agency. One parent shared, “Since joining, her grades have improved. I’ve noticed that now when she smiles, her smile comes through from the inside out! She’s found her self-confidence.”
