PEARLS for Teen Girls

PEARLS For Teen Girls offers PEARLS Groups and College and Career Readiness. The groups are run by program coordinators, associate program coordinators, and teen facilitators, and they meet once or twice weekly throughout the school year. The college and career readiness part includes guidance, concrete strategies for setting and achieving goals, and support from adults plus connections to educational, pre-career, health, and other resources.

Programs

• PEARLS Groups — 5th-12th grade · Once or twice weekly throughout the school year · Safe spaces for girls, run by program coordinators, associate program coordinators, and teen facilitators. 100% free for girls and 100% voluntary.
• College and Career Readiness — Girls · Guidance, concrete strategies for setting and achieving goals, and support from adults plus connections to educational, pre-career, health, and other resources.

About the provider

In 33 years, PEARLS has served 13,000+ girls. Its mission is to improve quality of life and strengthen the community by empowering young women and gender-expansive youth with self-development tools, guidance, and support, while living out the PEARLS values: Personal Responsibility, Empathy, Awareness, Respect, Leadership and Support.

Girls can access programming at schools or community sites in and around Milwaukee or at the PEARLS office. PEARLS groups meet once or twice weekly at local schools, community centers, and the PEARLS office.
