Milwaukee Rowing Club Youth Rowing Programs focus on rowing for young athletes. The programs use rowing shells and related equipment as part of organized youth rowing teams.

The Milwaukee Rowing Club was established in 1894 and has been continuously incorporated since 1914 as a non-profit Wisconsin membership corporation. Youth rowing programs include a nationally competitive High School Team and Middle School Team, and current club members range in age from 11 to over 70. The club’s fleet includes nine coxed eights, eight coxed fours, one coxed quad, one straight quad, six doubles, ten singles, and dozens of personal rowing shells, with the vast majority of club boats manufactured by Vespoli. Some members have been on the U.S. National Team and on the U.S. Olympic Team in 2000 in Sydney, Australia, and in 2004 in Athens, Greece, and club members regularly compete in regattas from the San Diego Crew Classic in April to the Head of the Charles in Boston in October. The club is a member organization of the United States Rowing Association, the national governing body for Olympic rowing, and is qualified as a tax exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The club’s mission is to provide to the community the broadest possible access to rowing as a recreational and competitive sport, to instill the ideals and values of rowing at an affordable cost, to uphold an environment where athletes are expected to work together to achieve common goals, and to not discriminate on the basis of race, national origin, religion, color, gender, age, sexual orientation, or residence.
