Wisconsin Conservatory of Music – Youth Lessons, Classes & Summer Camps offers music private lessons, music group lessons, and summer music camps. Students can study piano, strings and harp, voice, guitar and ukulele, percussion, woodwinds, brass, jazz and contemporary music, chamber music, and participate in the Milwaukee Children’s Choir. The program also includes early childhood programs.

The Wisconsin Conservatory of Music states its mission as inspiring individuals and communities through exceptional music education, accessible to all, unlocking potential and creating musical experiences that last a lifetime. The Conservatory is celebrating over 126 years of musical excellence and is Wisconsin’s largest community music school, with more than 125 years of history. WCM alumni include Grammy winners, Broadway stars, and Oscar honorees.

The program is led by a renowned faculty of over 100 teaching artists who provide private lessons, group classes, and ensemble coaching, and 100+ educators inspire students through individual, group, and ensemble instruction. Students have access to performance opportunities in concerts, recitals, music hours, and more, as well as practice room access and a dedicated student services team. The program offers tuition assistance and merit scholarships and accepts instrument drive donations.

Wisconsin Conservatory of Music partners with 52 schools and community organizations, and these community partnerships make music education accessible to all. Summer music camps are available for kids, teens, and adults of all experience levels. The Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts, one of the program’s venues, is a multi-arts center focusing on teaching the visual and performing arts.

Parent and student feedback includes comments such as WCM having “given my child more than music—it’s given her purpose, confidence, and a place to grow,” praise for “best teachers and staff members” and an “amazing facility,” and a student sharing that learning the violin has been an enjoyable journey and that the instructor keeps it interesting and fun.
