ELC Summer Programs are connected with the worship life of Evangelical Lutheran Church of Mount Horeb. The program takes place alongside regular worship times, including a Saturday 5:00 p.m. worship in a small chapel with a modified traditional format and a Sunday 9:00 a.m. worship with a blend of traditional and contemporary music. Live worship is streamed at 9:00 a.m. on Facebook.

Evangelical Lutheran Church of Mount Horeb adopted its original constitution and by-laws on September 30, 1887. The congregation states the mission, “With open hearts and minds, we celebrate our faith through love and service to others.” It is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America in the South-Central Synod of Wisconsin and is a Reconciling in Christ Congregation. The church partners with Wartburg Theological Seminary as a pastoral internship congregation in the ministry of forming future ELCA pastors. The congregation states that it welcomes all to ELC, including people of all races, ethnicities, gender expressions, gender identities, sexual orientations, ages, faith traditions, physical or mental abilities, financial resources, family statuses, and personal struggles. It also states a commitment to being an anti-racist community and to working, by the power of the Holy Spirit, to extend God’s grace, love, justice, and dignity.
