Camp Invention is part of the National Inventors Hall of Fame education programs that combine hands-on fun and creativity with science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) concepts. The program uses curricula that are created each year through collaboration between the National Inventors Hall of Fame education team and National Inventors Hall of Fame Inductees. Each STEM education program within this organization aligns with state and national education standards and integrates 21st-century learning with hands-on activities.

Camp Invention is one of several programs offered by this organization, alongside Club Invention for 1st–6th grade, Leaders-in-Training for 7th–9th grade, and the Leadership Intern Program for high school and college students. The National Inventors Hall of Fame has been honoring the spirit of innovation and promoting inventors as role models since 1973 and reports impacting more than 4 million children, students, educators and innovators across the nation since its founding in 1973. Its education programs are founded and supported in partnership with the United States Patent and Trademark Office and are offered in partnership with over 2,500 schools and districts nationwide and in Puerto Rico, with support from 2,144 philanthropic partners.

The leadership and education team connected to Camp Invention includes Rachelle Albrechta (Director of Program Development), who holds a bachelor’s degree in art education and a master’s in education as a gifted intervention specialist and is a certified Dream Manager. The team also includes Jayme Cellitioci (Senior Director of Education), who holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology/biology, a master’s in creativity and change leadership, and a professional certificate in free-choice learning; Ashley Giordano (Manager of Program Management), who holds a master’s degree in history and a museum studies certificate; and Susie Duchon (Education Specialist). Curriculum and content roles are held by Rachel Lutes (Curriculum Writer, with a bachelor’s degree in middle childhood education focused on mathematics and ELA), Emily Mitchell (Senior Content Writer, with a bachelor’s degree in advertising), and Sara Pompeo (Editor, with a bachelor’s degree in professional and technical writing and a professional area of study in journalism). Additional leadership includes Maggie Saine (Spanish Services Lead & Education Specialist, with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in Spanish) and Jennifer Sitton (Director of Science & Product Development, with a bachelor’s degree in biopsychology, a master’s in cell and organismal biology, and a doctorate in biology specializing in science education).
