About
Road America Kart Racing School Powered by Franklin Motorsports focuses on kart racing for beginner drivers. Participants take part in safe practices, competitive driving lines, braking exercises, a track walk, and other skill exercises. The program also includes on-track sessions with lead follows and post-session analysis, along with a final fitting into a Briggs & Stratton powered racing kart prepared by Franklin Motorsports Inc.

• Schedule: Half-day experience

The session begins in a group of 7–10 participants, and then participants are split into two groups based on initial performance to work in smaller groups of 4–6. Participants receive personalized coaching from experienced staff. Road America hosts over 500 events a year and is referred to as America’s National Park of Speed. Road America has participated in the NASCAR Green Clean Air Program, and the track partners with local groups to expand tree planting efforts into the surrounding community as part of this program.
