Camp Gray offers week-long summer sessions that include activities such as archery, climbing, swimming, and the Cassidy Games. The program takes place at Camp Gray Catholic Camp and uses outdoor living and a retreat center as part of its setting. Camp Gray’s spaces also become available for rental.

Camp Gray states its mission as “TO KNOW CHRIST AND MAKE HIM KNOWN” and describes itself as a Christ-centered community that offers moments of true joy. It offers various programs tailored to particular age groups ranging from 2nd–12th grade, including an awesome summer camp program, fall retreats, and School and Weekend Retreat programs. Camp Gray describes its programs as a unique opportunity to experience the beauty of God’s creation and the joy of the Catholic faith, and it aims to help form youth in the Diocese of Madison by leading them to grow their friendships with each other and their relationships with Jesus Christ and His Church.
Camp Gray is accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA). Camp Gray undergoes a thorough review of its operation, from staff qualifications and training to emergency management. The ACA collaborates with experts from the American Academy of Pediatrics, American Red Cross, and other youth service agencies to assure that the practices at Camp Gray reflect up-to-date, research-based standards in camp operation, and Camp Gray partners with the ACA to promote a safe environment for its mission.
Bishop Donald Hying, 5th Bishop of Madison, WI, describes Camp Gray as “a model Catholic camp, looked to around the country as an example of how to manage such a camp and offer quality programming.” A summer camp staffer named Carynne says that after years as a camper, it is a dream come true to serve on the Summer Camp Staff and give back to the mission of Camp Gray. A 5th grade camper, Gianna S., says she loves Camp Gray because she can be herself, the counselors are amazing, and the camp has fun activities like archery, climbing, swimming, and the Cassidy Games.
