Summer Outdoor Adventure Club, Inc. (SOAC)

Summer Outdoor Adventure Club, Inc. offers overnight Summer Trips that include camping and biking trips, nature hikes, snowshoeing, team-building, and boating. The program also runs field trips for local schools to nature destinations around Sauk County, WI, and a bicycle repair program called Bike Shop. The organization uses a 33 ft long canoe, a 20 ft row boat, a fleet of 10 kayaks, two canoes, and 4 paddle boards during its activities.

Summer Outdoor Adventure Club, Inc. is a small 501c3 non-profit that focuses on outdoor environmental and adventure education and was founded in 1995 by Gary Williams. The summer program has grown to serve about 75 kids each summer, and the organization now serves about 3,000 students per year through its various programs. Summer Outdoor Adventure Club, Inc. works with Reedsburg students as well as students from Baraboo, Sauk Prairie, Ithaca, Wonewoc, Weston, and other Sauk County schools, and also works with homeschool and other community groups. Its stated goal is to connect kids with nature, educate them about it, help them feel comfortable with it, and foster a sense of stewardship for it, while providing kids with confidence and independence through shared adventures.
