About

Door County Adventure Center Youth Camps include activities such as kayaking, paddleboarding, indoor and outdoor rock climbing, and zip lining. The program also offers access to an Aerial Adventure Park with over 14 climbing elements, a 30-foot pamper pole, a 30-foot climbing tower, and an Adventure Zip Line Tour. Youth camps are part of a broader set of options that also include guided and outfitted trips, retreats, and team building and leadership programs, with lessons taught by experienced, ACA trained instructors.

For more than 30 years, Door County Adventure Center has been providing team building and leadership programs with activities such as low and high ropes challenge courses, high ropes climbing elements, and an indoor climbing gym. Its zip line operations have been recognized as a top 10 US Zip Line Operation by USA Today in 2014, and it received the 2022 Travelers’ Choice Award from TripAdvisor. The organization states its mission as: “Facilitate adventure, enhance teams, develop leadership, and create lasting memories,” and it offers all-inclusive kayak retreats that include all necessary gear and gourmet meals. One testimonial from a group leader notes that staff welcomed and encouraged a group of 17 high school students and trained them for a safe and fun experience, and other testimonials describe repeat participation in Off-Road Segway Tours and guided kayaking through caves. The organization also reports involvement in operating the Potawatomi Park Store at Potawatomi State Park to be more involved in the local community and enhance the experience for visitors.
