Kicks Unlimited After School

Kicks Unlimited After School offers movement based activities where kids can climb, jump, swing and play. The program uses staff led activities that emphasize movement over sedentary activities and includes no screentime. It is described as a movement based childcare alternative and a complete change in pace from the schoolday, with new, exciting activities where kids are always included.

The program takes place in what is described as Sun Prairie's most unique After School facility and is specifically structured to bring out the best in each child. Activities are specifically programmed minute by minute so that everything runs perfectly, with a focus on freedom through structure and personal responsibility with caring interaction. Safety is stated as the number one priority, and the program focuses on healthy movement habits and helps fight and prevent obesity by encouraging movement. The mission statement says that the goals for Kicks Unlimited After School students are confidence, self-esteem, and healthy habits for life, and it states that children will always know they are valued members of the program and part of the team.

The program description notes that children are surrounded by peers striving toward the same goals, building friendships and being supported in their journey. One parent feedback states that their children are building confidence, learning self discipline, skills to protect themselves, self control, respectful interactions, and teamwork, and that there has been a physical component brought into their home, including watching the kids do their kicks at home. Another parent feedback states that their child loves the after school program, is excited to attend each day, and is disappointed on days that are missed, and also describes the team as outstanding.
