Founded in Tomah in September 2000, Boys & Girls Clubs of West-Central Wisconsin has served youth in Sauk, Columbia, and Monroe Counties for 24 years. The Boys & Girls Club of Baraboo/Sauk County was founded in September 2001, and in 2009 the two clubs merged and adopted the name Boys & Girls Club of West Central Wisconsin. The Reedsburg club opened in 2017, and the current Reedsburg club opened in 2018 after the local community and city support expanded its capacity. The Portage (City) club opened in May 2023, supported in large part by a partnership with the Portage Community School District. The mission of Boys & Girls Clubs of West-Central Wisconsin is to provide a safe, nurturing environment where kids can learn, grow, and thrive and to enable all young people to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
