Boys & Girls Clubs of West Central Wisconsin offers academic support, mentoring, homework help, and daily Power Hour with one-on-one homework assistance, small group tutoring, and quiet areas to read. It also offers service learning activities, project-based learning, healthy meals and snacks, hands-on learning, physical fitness opportunities, daily art activities, Money Matters, Math Hoops, Project Learn, DIY STEM for ages 9-12, Summer Brain Gain, and Healthy Habits.

Programs

• Academic Success — Club members receive academic support, mentoring and homework help to keep them learning outside the classroom.
• Leadership & Social Emotional Learning — Club members learn to make good choices through service learning activities, project-based learning and opportunities to develop emotional intelligence skills that will last a lifetime.
• Life Skills — Club members have access to healthy meals & snacks, hands-on learning, and physical fitness opportunities.
• Teen Engagement — Club members are able to grow with us as teens. We offer meaningful opportunities for teens to thrive.
• Power Hour — offered daily · Provides one-on-one homework assistance and small group tutoring. For those that don’t have homework, quiet areas to read are available.
• Money Matters — This program for teens promotes financial responsibility and independence. Members learn how to manage a checking account, create and stick to a budget, save, and how to pay for college.
• Math Hoops — This program helps youth learn the fundamentals of math and social-emotional skills through the game of basketball.
• ART — daily · Offers youth the opportunity to express themselves through drawing, coloring, painting, sculptures, beads, and collages.
• Project Learn — Reinforces a fun atmosphere of scientific exploration as members work with each other to create artifacts and demonstrate scientific principles.
• DIY STEM — ages 9-12 · Hands-on, activity-based program that follows a STEM curriculum.
• Summer Brain Gain — Fun, interactive, project-based learning program designed to help prevent Summer Learning Loss.
• Healthy Habits — Incorporates healthy living and active learning in every part of the Club experience.

Boys & Girls Clubs of West Central Wisconsin was founded in 2000. The text also states that the Boys & Girls Club West Central Wisconsin was founded in Tomah in September 2000 and that for 24 years it has been a cornerstone of support for youth in Sauk, Columbia, and Monroe Counties. Its mission is to provide a safe, nurturing environment where kids can learn, grow, and thrive, and to enable all young people to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
