West Salem Parks & Recreation Programs offers multiple ways for families to register for its activities, including online, walk-in, mail-in, and a 24-hour drop box option. Activity guides and registration forms are available in PDF format, and online registration accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or Discover, while cash or check payments are accepted for walk-in, mail-in, and drop box registration. For the 24-hour drop box, registration forms and payment must be placed in a sealed envelope marked WS Park & Rec.

• Schedule: Recreation Department office hours are Mondays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Fridays from 9 a.m. to noon.

The program is connected with several local organizations, including the Seven Rivers Athletic Association Traveling Baseball & Softball League, the Seven Rivers Athletic Association Traveling Basketball League, the Tri Rivers Youth Soccer League, ORA Trails’ West Salem Bike Playground Project, and the West Salem Hockey Association. The Recreation Department is led by Tony Degaetano, and related village roles include Teresa DeLong in the Village Office, Loren Schwier as Director of Public Works, Scott Alo as Chief of Police, Barrett Brenner as Village Assessor, and Chad Woodard and Aaron Holbach as Building Inspectors. A 24-hour drop box is available outside at the Village of West Salem office.
