About

Adventure Camp includes weekly dress up days, weekly field trips, classic carnival games, creative crafts, outdoor activities, group challenges, hands-on games, creative projects, social play, arts and crafts, STEM projects, and technology. Campers also take part in outdoor play, ice skating, rock wall climbing, and a Family Night Color Run. Adventure Camp uses indoor walking lanes, sports simulators, batting cages, indoor turf fields, basketball courts, racquetball courts, a fitness center, a group fitness studio, and an ice arena for hockey and skating, including hockey, figure skating, and other indoor court sports.

Adventure Camp runs in weekly sessions: Week 1 June 8–12, Week 2 June 15–19, Week 3 June 22–26, Week 4 June 29–July 3 with no camp on July 3, Week 5 July 6–10, Week 6 July 13–17, Week 7 July 20–24, Week 8 July 27–31, Week 9 August 3–7, Week 10 August 10–14, and Week 11 August 17–21. Adventure Camp provides half day care for Everest School District students attending summer school. Parents must register for bussing services through Lamers for transportation to and from summer camp.

SUMMER 2026 registration is open, and part-time care is full with a wait list available. Many time slots are filling or full, and some sessions and ages are closed. Week 7 Treasure Hunt, Week 10 Community Hero’s Week, and Week 11 Back to School Bash are closed with waitlists available. The program notes that specialty camps and dates are to come and that there is a new playground.

The Adventure Care Coordinator is Mariah Belanger, also referred to as “Tigger.” The community center that hosts Adventure Camp states a commitment to family programming for the community alongside sports and athletics. The Greenheck Turner Community Center expansion project began in October 2023 and is an addition to the existing fieldhouse and ice arena. The Greenheck Turner Community Center is named after Mary Greenheck Turner, and supporters of the project include Robert C. Greenheck, Scott L. Turner, and Mary’s brothers Jim, Paul, and Bobby.
