About
Greenheck Turner Community Center Youth Summer Camps include activities such as arts and crafts, STEM projects, technology, outdoor play, ice skating, rock wall climbing, group games, creative challenges, cooperative activities, and water games. Campers also take part in rubber duck activities, carnival games, creative crafts, outdoor activities, team games, hands-on crafts, obstacle courses, puzzles, glow-in-the-dark games, neon crafts, a Family Night Color Run, nature games, exploration, creative projects, and volunteer activities around the area. Little Adventures Preschool Camp is for children who have not attended kindergarten and requires that children be fully potty trained to attend.

• Price: Little Adventures Preschool Camp weekly fee: $205; Adventure Camp weekly fee: $205; Dream Big Week 3 & 10 weekly fee: $256; Ultimate Sports Mash Up weekly fee: $256
The community center states that it is committed to family programming for the community alongside sports and athletics. Dream Big Week 3 & 10 is limited to 30 campers, and campers are offsite most of the week and volunteer around the area and act as leaders in the community. Ultimate Sports Mash Up Week 2 and Week 8 is limited to 30 campers per age group, and families are invited to a Family Night Color Run during Let’s Glow Neon Party Week.
During Dream Big Week, campers travel by bus, walking, or riding bikes to different areas within the community. One special day during Nature Explorers Week is spent exploring Twin Oaks School Forest. During Community Hero’s Week, campers hear stories from local firefighters, police officers, healthcare workers, and other professionals. Adventure Camp provides half day care for Everest School District students attending summer school, and parents must register for bussing services through Lamers for transportation to and from summer camp.
The Greenheck Turner Community Center expansion project is an addition to the current Fieldhouse and Ice Arena. The original Greenheck Field House was built in 1997. The Greenheck Turner Community Center is named after Mary Greenheck Turner, and her father Robert C. Greenheck, her husband Scott L. Turner, and her three brothers Jim, Paul, and Bobby have been supporters of the project from the beginning. Youth REC sports, hockey, figure skating, and indoor court sports continue to use the Fieldhouse and expand services.
