Gardner Dam Adventure Base offers activities such as white water and whitewater kayaking, whitewater rafting, rock climbing, a climbing tower, bouldering, a high ropes course, COPE/climbing, mountain biking, hiking, nature hikes, and waterfront activities including swimming and boating. Participants also take part in shooting sports such as BB guns and archery, range and target activities, fly fishing, campfires, chapel, Dutch Oven Cooking, a leader Dutch Oven cook off, theme-related projects and activities, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) activities, NOVA awards, SCOUTStrong, and nature-focused experiences.

• Ages: 9–18 years old
• Schedule: Webelos/Arrow of Light summer camp sessions run 3 nights/4 days, and Scouts BSA & Venturing sessions run 6 nights/6 days, with multiple sessions offered in June, July, and early August 2026.
• Price: Webelos & Arrow of Light 2026 pricing is $15 non-refundable deposit per participant, $285 per youth, and $175 per adult; Scouts BSA 2026 pricing is $15 non-refundable deposit per participant, $415 per youth, and $210 per adult, with full payment due May 31, 2026 and a $25 per person late charge for registrations on or after June 1, 2026.

Gardner Dam Webelos/Arrow of Lights Summer Camp includes a 3-night/4-day stay in tenting campsites with a shower house and meals served cafeteria style in a dining hall. The Scouts BSA & Venturing program provides a 6-night/6-day outdoor program, with meals served cafeteria style in an air-conditioned dining hall or patrol cooked at the discretion of the unit, and units must provide their own tents.

Bay-Lakes Council Camps, including Gardner Dam Adventure Base, meet and exceed standards set forth by the Boy Scouts of America, the American Canoe Association, and the National Rifle Association, and Gardner Dam Adventure Base receives annual accreditation as a Cub Scout Resident Camp. Each camp has a trained team, with key staff certified through a National Camp School hosted by the Boy Scouts of America, and all camp staff complete at least a week and a half of training on customer service, program delivery, safety, and other specialty topics. The leadership team for this program includes Camping Director Dan Skrypczak and Program Director Dan Connolly. The stated mission is to engage guests by delivering quality, innovative, “Life on the Edge” experiences that support the mission of the Bay-Lakes Council.
