City of Whitewater Parks & Recreation Youth Programs include youth sports, after-school care, summer camps, special interest classes, and seasonal activities. The department also offers adult sports alongside these youth programs.
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–4:30 pm
The City of Whitewater Parks & Recreation Department states that its mission is to enhance the quality of life for the community through active living, inclusive programs, and well-maintained public spaces, and to provide services for those who live, work, and play in Whitewater. The department manages 19 parks, 7 playgrounds, the Frawley Family Amphitheater, Treyton's Field of Dreams, and the Whitewater Aquatic & Fitness Center, as well as hosting events at the Cravath Lakefront Building. Leadership and coordination roles include the Parks & Recreation Director Kevin Boehm, Adult Recreation Coordinator and Senior Coordinator Jennifer Jackson, Assistant Director/Community Events staff member Michelle Dujardin, Streets Superintendent Brian Neumeister, a Youth/Athletic Program Coordinator, a Youth Program and Athletics Coordinator, Facilities Tech II ([email protected]), Facilities Tech I ([email protected]), the Whitewater Aquatic and Fitness Center Manager ([email protected]), and the Adult Program Coordinator ([email protected]). Throughout the year, the department hosts community events such as the Summer Concert Series, Christmas at Cravath, and the Whitewater Food Truck Festival. Whitewater is recognized as an Ice Age Trail Community, a Tree City USA community, and a Bird City Wisconsin community.
