About
Discovery Days Childcare Center offers activities in Cultural Understanding, Baby Signs, Literacy, Mathematics, and Technology through the Ascend Curriculum. The program allows children time to explore various interest centers in their classrooms, and teachers are encouraged to individualize activities and use small group instruction. Even the youngest children in the infants program participate in the Ascend Curriculum, which develops academic, physical, emotional, and creative skills.
• Ages: 0–5 years old
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–5:30 PM
Discovery Days Childcare Center follows the Wisconsin Model for Early Learning Standards and focuses on children and their individual needs. The program emphasizes early educational learning, positive social interaction, and working to achieve age-appropriate milestones. It provides a nurturing and socially stimulating environment for children according to their age and individuality, and it recognizes that children learn both within the center and through experiences in the community.
Discovery Days has been providing early childhood education and care to families since 2000. The leadership team includes School Director Josie Martin, Assistant Director Brandi Gomolinski, and Ms. Katie, who has been recognized as Teacher of the Year. Josie Martin is a board director for the Wisconsin Child Care Administrators Association, a Registry trainer, and DPI licensed. Brandi Gomolinski earned her bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from UW-Whitewater and obtained her Administrators Credential in 2024. Ms. Katie obtained her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education (birth–6th grade) from UW-Platteville.
One parent described Discovery Days as providing “nothing but genuine and positive care” over five years and said they “would recommend this place to all of my friends and family.” Another parent called Discovery Days Wind Lake “a phenomenal daycare facility” and said they felt grateful knowing their foster child was “safe and properly cared for.” A third parent noted that daily updates and pictures through an app gave them “extra peace of mind” and that Miss Josie and Miss Brandi greeted them every day with a smile. Another family shared that their child has attended since three months old and said that their child “has loved all of her teachers” and that the director is “always very accommodating when needed.”
