Art Gallery Kids Homeschool Art Classes is led by Ms. Beth, a professional artist and art teacher with 18 years of experience as an art teacher and professional artist. Ms. Beth, also known as Beth Eckel, is an award-winning artist, anatomy artist, mother, and teacher. She received her Bachelor’s degree from the Art Institute, where she graduated magna cum laude and was awarded Best Graduating Portfolio, and she studied Classical Realism Painting and Drawing at the Barcelona Academy of Art in Spain.
The program offers small class sizes with a maximum of 8 students per class so every child receives individualized instruction and attention. All play-based STEAM classes are screen-free and are designed to develop artistic skill, self-expression, and confidence, and they combine art with core subjects like science and math. The mixed-age setting allows younger students to learn from older peers while older students practice leadership. The homeschool art classes and STEM programs are designed for elementary age homeschool students in Chandler, Tempe, Scottsdale, Phoenix, Ahwatukee, Mesa, Gilbert, Queen Creek, and surrounding areas. The instructor states that she is passionate about designing lessons that ignite creativity and foster a love of learning, and that she has created play-based art classes to introduce foundational learning and artistic skills such as creative problem solving, critical thinking, and emotional intelligence, with a goal of building community as students develop meaningful and long-lasting friendships.
Art Gallery Kids Homeschool Art Classes is an ESA vendor and a direct vendor on ESA, and payments can be made through ClassWallet. The classes are described as perfect for ESA families because they accept ESA direct pay through ClassWallet. The instructor also offers to come to microschools or homeschool groups and creates classes based on the group’s curriculum.
The instructor’s credentials and recognition include being an award-winning artist, receiving an Artist Opportunity Grant from the Arizona Commission on the Arts in 2025, 2023, and 2022, and an Arts Career Advancement Grant from the Phoenix Office of Arts & Culture in 2022. She has also received Second Place in the Upward Gallery Juried Pastel Art Exhibition in 2024 and a Merit Award in the Upward Gallery Juried Figurative Art Exhibition in 2024. Her art is on display at the Arizona Science Center from 10/25/25 to 2/16/26, and she has participated in the Downtown Chandler Art Walk Arizona 2024.
Parent feedback includes a testimonial from Vianca B, who describes Ms. Beth as creative and knowledgeable, notes that Ms. Beth keeps her children engaged for hours, and shares that her autistic daughter is excited to attend classes; this parent also notes that Ms. Beth is a direct vendor on ESA. Additional testimonials describe Beth’s commissioned art as beautiful, detailed, and suitable for professional offices, including comments from Terri Edwards, Au.D., and Shaunah S.
