Goodyear Aquatics – Swim Lessons offers swim lessons taught by a Starguard Certified Instructor. Families at the aquatics center also have access to fitness classes, a swim team, lifeguard and junior lifeguard training, open swim, lap swim, pool rentals, and ramada rentals. Additional water-based activities at the facility include GlideFit Cardio Wave, Water Aerobics, and Silver Splash.
• Schedule: Goodyear Recreation Center is open Monday–Friday 6 a.m.–9 p.m., Saturday 8 a.m.–6 p.m., and Sunday 11 a.m.–5 p.m., with lap swim offered Monday–Friday 6–8 a.m. and 5–7 p.m., and Saturday–Sunday 12–2 p.m.
Goodyear Aquatics – Swim Lessons takes place within a larger aquatics center that includes a zero-depth entry play pool with a play structure, a leisure pool, a lazy river, an eight-lane competition pool with diving boards, a 25-yard lap pool, and two 27-foot water slides, along with plenty of shaded seating and reservable ramadas. The aquatics center is limited to Goodyear residents and their guests. The program is part of the 86-acre Goodyear Recreation Campus, which also features a 48,000 sq. ft. recreation center with a multipurpose gymnasium, activity rooms, fitness areas, an indoor walking/running track, and a dedicated space for social gaming and teen activity.
Goodyear Recreation Campus states that it is dedicated to enriching the lives of Goodyear residents through activities, classes, fitness, events, and more, and serves as a gathering place for the community. The campus is also home to the largest kinetic art sculpture in North America, “Chasing the Stars.”
