Owner and Head Instructor Tim Mullis is a 7th-degree black belt who began his martial arts journey in 1980. He earned his black belt and was invited to train and teach full time at the school of GrandMaster Ok Hyung Kim, the founder of Kyuki-Do. He moved to Phoenix, Arizona, in 1988 and has over 40 years of training and more than three decades of teaching experience, including traveling, competing, and teaching in places such as Korea and China. Since 1990, he has helped thousands of students using martial arts, and he serves as CEO and Chief Instructor at AKF Black Belt Academy.
His stated mission is to make a positive impact on as many lives in the community as possible through martial arts.
