Participants also take part in Special Olympic Training, Adventure Club, Performing Arts, Health and Fitness activities, Life-Skills Education, and sports related activities. Snacks are served daily during program time.

• Schedule: After-school hours Monday–Friday with additional options during school breaks and summer
• Price: 40% of adult participants who are not funded by the state attend a Drop-In program for $2 per day

During the school year, the ARCHKids Program runs after school Monday through Friday from 2pm to 6pm, and it is open for early release days and school breaks. In the summer, the program runs Monday through Friday from 9am to 1pm, and extended hours are available. Transportation options are available but limited.

All participants are supervised by trained staff, and HCBS certification confirms that individuals providing direct care have met specific qualifications. ARCH currently has 18 full-time employees, 18 part-time employees, and a volunteer base of 275 individuals. If a participant does not qualify for DDD funding, the program offers private pay options, and 60% of children and teens in the ARCHKids Program receive extended care supervision through ARCH while parents work.

ARCH opened its doors on September 23, 1975, and has served the special needs community for over 50 years. Participants come from residential neighborhoods, group homes, schools, and partner programs from across the Valley. The organization is a Department of Developmental Disabilities/State Qualified Provider and holds HCBS OLCR certification to provide day care programs, transportation, and respite care services. The mission of ARCH is to provide services and programs that enable individuals with special needs to obtain the highest levels of independence, physical well-being, and self-esteem, and its vision includes meeting changing needs, providing family support services, and offering community awareness and public education programs. The ARCHKids Program is coordinated by Derrick Martinez, and the broader leadership team also includes Grace Jones as Adult Services Coordinator and Rachel Rogers as ARCHKids Coordinator.
