About

Camp Hubbard is a summer day camp where campers spend the day playing a variety of games, sports, and activities. Sports are at the heart of everything at Camp Hubbard, and campers take part in different games and competitions that follow a weekly theme.

• Ages: 5–14 years old
• Schedule: May–July, one-week sessions

Camp Hubbard has been family owned since 1998 and offers full-day and half-day options, with extended stay available. Each week has a theme that drives different events, competitions, and games throughout the week. Camper Physical Development Goals and Camper Social/Emotional Goals, including a Code of Conduct, are reviewed with campers every day, with statements such as “I will be kind and loving,” “Be safe,” “Be helpful to others,” and “Try new things.” The staff follows Hubbard Core Values, including Whatever it Takes, Everyone Is Family, Do Small Things with Great Love, Embrace Learning, Be Active, Unplug, and Be Playground Ready, and staff members are described as having energy and passion for working with children and forming bonds with campers.

Camp Hubbard’s mission statement is that Hubbard provides a safe, active environment to encourage physical, social, and emotional growth for a lifetime of success. The leadership team includes Ann Marie (CEO), Susie (Executive Director), Mitzi (Curriculum Director), Amelia (Operations Manager), Andrew (Sunnyslope Director and 2025 Camp Director), Jason (Biltmore Prep Director and 2025 Camp Director), and Jess (Milestones Director and 2025 Camp Director). Susie earned a Master’s degree in Nonprofit Management from Arizona State University. The organization describes that what started as a fun way for the owners to keep their kids busy in the summer has grown into a camp across multiple locations in the valley, and Ann Marie believes that the Hubbard Camps and Swim Schools impact the families in their communities.

Parent feedback includes comments that campers were busy, not allowed electronics, and that counselors were nice and fun. Parents describe the program as organized, with an easy process from registration through drop-off and pick-up, and mention that weekly themes and theme days keep camp interesting and exciting. Several parents note that their children were excited to go to camp each day, enjoyed attending for a full week, and looked forward to returning the next summer. Summer 2026 enrollment is noted as opening soon.
