Kids ages 7–17 attend week-long Summer Camps, and teens ages 13–18 attend two-week Teen Academies and live like college students on university campuses. Private Lessons offer 50+ topics for kids ages 7–19. Instructors include a game design guru from EA and a software engineering undergraduate at Caltech, and staff work within a work-from-home culture with no commutes and no cubicles. The organization was founded in 1999 and has a 25-year legacy of excellence in STEM education, growing from 280 to 50,000 students per year, including over 50,000 girls who have graduated from camps and academies. The leadership team includes CEO Tana Barton Haas, co-founders Kathryn Ingram-Cauchi and Alexa Ingram-Cauchi, and first iD Tech CEO Pete Ingram-Cauchi. The mission of iD Tech Camps and Teen Academies is to create life-changing tech experiences that embolden students to shape the future, and this year the program will offer more scholarships than ever before to students from underserved communities.
