Sunshine Sunflower Studio offers hands-on ceramics classes with hand-building techniques, wheel throwing, learn to paint workshops, and paint your own pottery sessions. It also offers unique art workshops with local artisans, including paint parties, woodworking, metal smithing, and jewelry design. Kids birthday parties include ornament making, a party host, snacks, cake, and gifts.

Programs

• Wheel Throwing — Opportunities to work on the pottery wheel for people with experience or those who want to try it.

• Paint Your Own Pottery — Choose bisque pottery pieces and personalize them with glazes.

About the provider

Sunshine Sunflower Studio opened in May 2020. Laurie Canfield leads the studio and has a 16-year career in art education and community arts. She earned an MA in Art Education from the University of Florida. The studio’s mission is to offer people of all ages opportunities to get creative and bring their ideas to life. Local artisans teach some of the crafts, and the studio hosts private parties and events, corporate team building, and off-site workshops.
