Valley of the Sun YMCA Youth Enrichment Programs include youth enrichment programs, Y-Academy, youth sports, and virtual Y workouts such as ZUMBA GOLD® and FLOW YOGA. These programs take place at the Valley of the Sun YMCA.
Valley of the Sun YMCA was born in 1892, before Arizona became a state, and is one of the oldest and one of the largest nonprofits in Arizona. It serves over 100,000 families and is located in 15 communities across the state. The organization offers state-licensed early learning programs with a developmentally appropriate curriculum that is designed to support the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth of children. Its youth sports programs focus on skill development, teamwork, healthy competition, and fun. The mission of the YMCA is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all. The YMCA is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit charitable organization dedicated to Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility, and it describes itself as a community and a family about embracing today’s social responsibilities together. Providing a sense of community is described as what the Valley of the Sun YMCA is all about.
