ARKA Ballet Academy

ARKA Ballet Academy offers dance education with classes in a variety of dance forms, including focused training in ballet technique. The program includes training and coaching from internationally known choreographers and ballet masters, as well as The Nutcracker Registration Production Participation. The ARKA Ballet Academy trains dancers from beginner through professional levels, and the ballet syllabus is based on the Vaganova method of teaching Classical Ballet.

• Ages: 5–18 years old

Under the direction of Hagop Kharatian and Irina Abramyan, the distinguished faculty features experienced teachers who have enjoyed successful careers in dance. The legendary Russian School, on which the Vaganova method is based, is noted in the program materials for its superb technique and pure style of performance. ARKA Ballet Academy states a mission to provide dance education for students who demand the best in dance training, with a focus on the finest quality education and the highest artistic standards in ballet technique and related arts, and to bring new levels of excellence to the art of classical ballet in the classroom and in the community. The program materials state a belief that, through this mission, ARKA Ballet Academy will enrich the cultural life of the community and that it offers a friendly environment for students of ages 5–20.
