Art and Sol Performing Arts Program

Art and Sol Performing Arts Program includes acting techniques, improvisational games, dance, vocal skills, and audition techniques. The program features education through the arts, with students working on musical productions where every child is guaranteed a part in the play. After each session, students perform a professional musical production for family and friends.

• Ages: 5–15 years old

Celebrating 23 Years of Stars!, the program is led by professional stage and vocal directors who teach children acting, dance, vocal skills, and audition techniques. It is an after-school program for children in Kindergarten through 10th grades, with three sessions each year, and a promise to cast every child so that everybody is welcome and every child gets a part in the shows. Students can build new friendships and experience the performing arts while working on musical productions, and the program has locations in Scottsdale, Arcadia, and Phoenix. The stated mission is that “Every child feels like a star!”

Parent feedback includes comments that productions are “top notch” and that staff “always go above and beyond” and “take the time to answer [kids’] questions w/o rushing them, w/ a kind voice.” Another parent notes that a child “has acquired a skill and confidence that we have not seen in her before” and that this was her first theater experience. A third parent shares that their child “LOVED Art and Sol” and thanks the program for creating “a wonderful and safe place for her to discover that she loves to sing and act.”
