Art and Sol Performing Arts Program

Art and Sol Performing Arts Program gives children the chance to act, dance, and sing while learning specific acting techniques, improvisational games, and audition techniques. Participants rehearse and then perform in stage performances that include a professional musical production for family and friends in a theater setting. The program is education based, and every child is guaranteed a part in the play.

Art and Sol is an after-school program for children in Kindergarten through 10th grades and offers three sessions each year. After each session, participants perform a professional musical production for family and friends in a beautiful theater venue. The program states a promise to cast every child and notes that everybody is welcome.

The staff includes professional stage and vocal directors who teach children acting, dance, and vocal skills, as well as audition techniques. The program is celebrating 23 years of stars, and its stated mission is that “Every child feels like a star!”

Parent feedback includes comments about the productions being “top notch” and appreciation that questions are answered “with a kind voice,” as well as plans for a child to be part of Art and Sol “for a long time.” Another parent reports that a child “has acquired a skill and confidence” and had a first theater experience that left her “glowing all weekend.” A third parent states that their child “LOVED Art and Sol” and thanks the program for creating a place where she discovered that she loves to sing and act.
