Code Ninjas

Code Ninjas offers activities such as building their own video games, debugging code, basic block coding, programming in Minecraft and Roblox, and hands-on work with robotics. The program also includes camps, Parent's Night Out events, birthday parties, clubs, home schooling options, after school programs, and multi-week module Academies in Robotics and AI. Some participants take part in visiting Microsoft's Garage, meeting with the Microsoft Minecraft and MakeCode teams, and engaging in conversations with teams such as XBOX, Bing, and AI.

Code Ninjas states that its mission is: “We’re developing the next generation of problem solvers, creators, and leaders.” The organization identifies Navin Gurnaney as the CEO of Code Ninjas. Code Ninjas is described as the world’s largest and fastest-growing kids' coding franchise, with hundreds of locations in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.

The program highlights hands-on work with coding, robotics, and AI, along with self-paced, personalized learning supported by Code Senseis. Its CREATE program is described as the best-selling option, and the Code Ninjas JR program is described as requiring no reading. Code Ninjas Camps are guided by Code Senseis, and the multi-week module Academies focus on Robotics, AI, and related topics. IMPACT is the proprietary learning platform where ninjas follow a tailored learning track through Belts and receive live feedback as they go through the coding process. The Code Ninjas Prodigy Program includes opportunities to interact with leaders from large technology and gaming companies and to visit some of the most notable headquarters worldwide. The curriculum is described as being developed with creation in mind so students can express their imagination and have a sense of ownership and control over their creations, and the program uses an Outcome-Based Learning approach that centers on clear learning goals and aligned activities and assessments.

Code Ninjas describes its community involvement as striving to maintain a positive relationship with the community by providing a safe and welcoming learning environment for kids outside of school and encouraging students to use coding skills to address local problems, such as creating apps or websites. Parent feedback includes comments that children enjoy the program, are excited to show what they make, and have positive experiences at Parent's Night Out.
