About

Kids & Kritters Camp offers three separate sessions called Kids & Kritters Camp Session 1, Kids & Kritters Camp Session 2, and Kids & Kritters Camp Session 3. Each session runs on specific dates during June and July.

• Schedule: June 8th–12th (Session 1); June 22nd–26th (Session 2); July 13th–17th (Session 3)

The camp is run by the Humane Society of Sedona, a non-profit organization serving the Verde Valley since 1966. The organization is dedicated to a no-kill philosophy, and as a no-kill shelter, no healthy animal or animal with a treatable behavior or medical condition is euthanized, and animals are not euthanized because of lack of space or as population control. The Humane Society of Sedona maintained no-kill status in 2024 and was voted 2024 Best Nonprofit Organization and Best Nonprofit 2025, and its Paw Prints Thrift Store was voted 2025 Best Thrift Store. The leadership team includes Executive Director Jennifer Brehler, Director of Operations Sarah Porter, Volunteer Coordinator Deb Haynes, Veterinarian Dr. Audrey Yank, Shelter Manager Antonio Lopez, and Finance Director Margie Johnson. The Humane Society of Sedona building was designed by Shelter Planners of America, built in 2009, and an interactive self-guided virtual tour of the building was created in 2018.
