Summer Camps are the flagship program, where kids ages 7–17 have the opportunity to make friends and get hands-on with the latest tech during a week-long program. Teen Academies are a premier teen program, where teens ages 13–18 take part in a two-week immersive program to explore passions, develop skills, and build their college resume while living like college students at one of the world’s leading university campuses. Private Lessons offer freedom to explore 50+ topics, with lessons personalized to each child’s skill level, learning style, and goals, and flexible, fast scheduling. Over 50,000 girls have graduated from camps and academies. Payment plans are available during checkout, there are automatic savings when adding courses or siblings, and a Refer-a-Friend program provides credits and savings.
Each iD Tech experience is led by instructors from universities like Stanford and NYU, including a Director with a green mohawk who is a game design guru from EA and a Lead Instructor with a superhero cape who is a software engineering undergrad at Caltech. The organization uses selective hiring practices and intensive hybrid training to staff the program with talented, passionate instructors. The leadership team includes co-founders Kathryn Ingram-Cauchi and Alexa Ingram-Cauchi, first iD Tech CEO Pete Ingram-Cauchi, and CEO Tana Barton Haas.
In 1999, the family behind iD Tech Camps and Teen Academies pioneered the very first tech camps for kids and teens and worked 7 days a week in a studio above a garage. What started as 280 students per year has grown to 50,000 students per year, and the organization describes itself as having a 25-year legacy of excellence in STEM education. The program states a mission to create life-changing tech experiences that embolden students to shape the future. It is described as the nation’s original and most trusted youth STEM educator for kids and teens, with a reputation as the world’s go-to summer STEM educator and the world’s largest and most trusted tech program. This year, the organization will offer more scholarships than ever before to students from underserved communities. One parent shared, “This wasn’t just a tech camp—it was a personal growth experience. Our son came home a little more independent, a lot more curious, and already asking when he can go back next summer."
