Alameda Art Lab

Alameda Art Lab offers art classes and workshops where participants create mosaics, stained glass, fused glass, glass mosaics, wire art, painting, and drawing projects. The program includes after-school classes, summer camps, holiday camps, special art camps for children, birthday parties, team building events, workshops, Craft & Sip Nights, and jewelry making workshops. Alameda Art Lab offers art classes in fused glass designs, jewelry, glass mosaics, and stained glass for adults and youths, along with special art camps for children. Ongoing and by-appointment classes include Intro to Stained Glass, Stained Glass Lab (advanced), Glass on Glass Mosaic Windows, and Fused Glass Lab. The studio also sells eGift Cards.

Alameda Art Lab is headed by mosaic and glass artist, art teacher, and business owner JaYing Wang. She has been a mosaic and glass artist since 1995, an art teacher since 2002, and a business owner in Alameda since 2005. She has taught thousands of students the art of mosaic, stained glass, and fused glass, including hundreds of adults and children.

Students come from across the Bay Area, including Oakland, San Francisco, Berkeley, San Leandro, Hayward, Marin, and the Peninsula. JaYing Wang has created many public mosaic murals in collaboration with schools, as well as commissions for churches, restaurants, and a shopping center. Alameda Art Lab is a female minority-owned small business and has been voted “BEST ART CLASSES IN ALAMEDA” by Alameda Magazine in 2024, 2023, 2020, 2019, and 2018.
