Alameda Youth Basketball offers a recreational basketball league for boys and girls in grades three through eight. The league includes one practice during the week, optional Sunday practices in November, and games that begin on December 5 and 6. All teams qualify for the playoffs.

Alameda Youth Basketball, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. The league is in its 32nd year serving youth, and its mission is to organize and operate a basketball league for elementary and middle school boys and girls to foster good sportsmanship, competition, teamwork, leadership, physical fitness, and understanding of basketball.
