Alameda Youth Basketball offers recreational basketball through an organized basketball league that includes practices, games, playoffs, semifinals, and championships. All teams in Alameda Youth Basketball qualify for the playoffs each season. The program also offers an online store for gear and fan gear.

• Ages: 8–13 years old
• Schedule: 2025–26 season runs November 3 to March 1, with one weekday practice per team, optional Sunday practices in November, and games beginning in early December; there are no practices or games during the winter holidays, and playoffs run from the last weekend in February through the first weekend in March.
• Price: Sponsor fees are $400.

Alameda Youth Basketball is in its 31st year serving youth and providing recreational basketball to boys and girls in grades three through eight. AYB’s mission is to organize and operate a basketball league for elementary and middle school boys and girls to foster the spirit of good sportsmanship, competition, teamwork, leadership, physical fitness, and an understanding of the game of basketball, and the league is nondiscriminatory and does not deny for financial reasons the right of any otherwise eligible person to participate. Alameda Youth Basketball, Inc. (AYB) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation.
