Kiddie Kampus Co-op Preschool

Kiddie Kampus Co-op Preschool is a cooperative, play-based, non-profit preschool. It offers a Morning Program, an Afternoon Program for Transitional Kindergarten, and Extended Care. The school year runs from August to June.

• Morning Program: Preschool — Children ages 2 years 9 months to 5 years old · Mon-Fri, 9:00 am-12:00 pm
• Afternoon Program: Transitional Kindergarten — Children ages 4 to 5 years old; 3-year-olds are not eligible · Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri, 12:00 pm-2:30 pm · Afternoon TK programs are offered M+T and/or Th+F. Priority is given to students eligible for Kindergarten the following year.
• Extended Care — Children ages 2 years 9 months to 5 years old · Wed, 12:00 pm-2:00 pm · Extended Care program on Wednesdays.

About the provider

Kiddie Kampus was established in 1948 and the site states that it is one of the oldest preschools in the Bay Area and the only cooperative preschool in Alameda. It is licensed by the State of California and is a member of the California Council of Parent Participation Nursery Schools (CCPPNS). Parent and guardian involvement is an essential component, with families helping in the classroom, serving in helper or board positions, attending monthly school-wide meetings and parent education nights, and volunteering at cleanings, maintenance days, fundraising events, and social events.

Non-discrimination statement includes race, color, national origin, ethnic origin, special needs, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression. Partial non-participating spots may be available; these families pay an additional monthly fee and are released from the weekly work day requirement only.
