Kiddie Kampus Co-op Preschool

Kiddie Kampus Co-op Preschool is a parent cooperative preschool that uses a play-based curriculum. Children take part in activities such as morning yoga and local field trips. The preschool has classrooms, a play area, and space to run, jump, climb, and play, and parents assist professional teachers in the classroom on a rotating basis.

Established in 1948, Kiddie Kampus Co-op Preschool operates as a cooperative, play-based, non-profit preschool on a non-sectarian basis. It has a mixed-age classroom, and parents participate in the educational program of all the children while also sharing in the business operation of the school. Teachers, parents, and children share the experience of learning together, and the program embraces the philosophy that children learn best through play. The preschool is licensed by the State of California and is a member of the California Council of Parent Participation Nursery Schools (CCPPNS). Local field trips foster community and help bring learning to life, and public parking is available on Pacific Avenue. The program has a 6:1 ratio in TK and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, ethnic origin, special needs, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression.
